  1. Towel – goes without saying as this is a pretty standard item. A great idea is to pack an extra one just in case one towel gets wet and sandy
  2. Sunscreen is an absolute must and the higher the SPF the better. Apply 30 mins before heading out in the sun and reapply every 2 hours.
  3. Taking a bottle of water is a necessity and a great idea is to take frozen bottles of water with you so when they melt it is nice and icy cold.
  4. Sunglasses and hat to protect the face and eyes. The UV rays are so potent these days that even your eyes can get sun damage and lots of people forget about the top of their head.
  5. If you have got kids in tow, make sure you pack some snacks for them if you are planning to be there for a while.
